Lynn Hardy, author of the #1 Kindle bestseller, Prophecy of the Flame – Book One, has, with a handful of friends, launched a movie project. It purpose: to bring kids in out of the cold whose families have lost everything, even their homes, through no fault of their own.

There is a brand new movie miracle that has exploded across America – the countdown has begun. Now, for the first time, when we go to the movies, we can also be giving a kid a warm bed. There are 42 days – and counting – left for us to make our stand.

Lynn Hardy, author of the #1 Kindle bestseller, Prophecy of the Flame – Book One, has, with a handful of friends, launched a movie project. It purpose: to bring kids in out of the cold whose families have lost everything, even their homes, through no fault of their own.

Kickstarter is an online site that provides a forum for artistic projects, including books and movies. Producers and Directors study Kickstarter to learn of fantastic new projects like the Prophecy of the Flame. If her project is chosen, Lynn Hardy will donate 100% of her author royalties to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that gives families who have been hit hard by this recession, a second chance.

Lynn Hardy says, “There is a soaring crisis in this country. How can we sit by and do nothing when there are kids living in cars and on the street? A mother loses her job, a father gets sick, and savings are wiped out. They lose their home to foreclosure: kids find themselves without so much as a warm place to sleep. How can any of us sit in our cozy houses and not do something for these innocent kids? We can help these families – we can put the wheels in motion for the movie that will generate millions of dollars for these kids.”

Here’s how it works: Kickstarter posts projects like ours online and people vote by sending in $1 if they think the project has merit. Hollywood pays close attention to the top projects at Kickstarter. Our hope is that all of us will bring our friends along: Every dollar we send to Kickstarer is a vote for our project. It will prove to Hollywood that WE are serious. WE want this movie produced!

This just in: Lynn Hardy was just been contacted by an Oscar nominated Director, winner of the Sundance Film Festival Award and an Emmy, who has taken an interest in this project. The Director said, “If Kickstarter tells Hollywood that people love your project, producers will back the movie with big bucks to make a Blockbuster film.”

What happens to the dollar you send to Kickstarter? Every penny the Prophecy Project receives from Kickstater goes to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Agape Assistance) that helps families hit hard by these tough economic times.

We Can Do This! All of us can find a handful of loose change from under our sofa cushions, in our car ashtray, in our coat pockets – this dollar sent to Kickstarter is our vote for the kids. It proves to Hollywood that while we are enjoying great films, we can also, at the same time, be giving kids a warm bed.

Laura has produced several independent film projects, here in the Treasure Valley including, The Wrong Time and The Help Desk. Hearing about the Prophecy Project, an independent film endeavor to help homeless families with children, drove Laura to find out more.

A meeting at a local coffee shop with Prophecy Project Director, Lynn Hardy, revealed that the two women shared a passion for stories and for helping children. Laura’s interest was ignited! “I’m excited about the Prophecy Project! It combines two of my favorite passions, making movies and helping those in need!”

Laura Perkins will add her years of film experience to the Prophecy Project team as this unique endeavor begins the journey to the big screen.
